Jessica e-mailed us a week before New Years to ask if we were available to photograph her wedding on December 31st. She and David had originally planned on a very simple elopement involving little more than the courthouse, but fortunately they were convinced by friends and family to make it an event. They were married in the Fort Lewis chapel (same place that our own parents were married [little tid-bit of unneeded information]) in full wedding atire, joined by their closest friends and family. They took some awesome photos with Kyla and headed up to the mountain to get a bit of riding in. What fun way to celebrate! Simple, just how I like it. Jessica and David have the most adorable five month old daughter. She was a trooper through the whole ceremony, but too little still to strap onto a board. I'm sure it won't be long before she's carving right beside them!
Kyla and Wesley have the innate ability to capture the human expression in creative and artful ways. The success of their business is reflected in the quality of their work. Sure we all own a camera and try to capture the special moments in life, but Kyla and Wesley have the ability to transform the ordinary to extraordinary. I have the pleasure of working near them everyday, but more importantly, we all have the opportunity to learn, grow and experience their transformative gifts. – Heather Leavitt (Publisher of Arts Perspective Magazine)
